Pre-Doctoral Researcher – Organisational Behaviour (OB)

The Organisational Behaviour (OB) department at INSEAD is seeking dedicated and talented Pre-Doctoral Researchers to work on our campuses in Singapore or Fontainebleau. The position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal at the end of the first year upon evaluation. Candidates applying for positions based in Singapore need to have already authorization to work in Singapore.
As a Pre-Doctoral Researcher, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading professors alongside renowned scholars in Organisational Behaviour (OB), with the aim of pursuing a Ph.D. in the future.
Previous Pre-Doctoral Researchers at INSEAD have successfully transitioned to Ph.D. programs at prestigious institutions such as INSEAD, Harvard, Stanford, Caltech, Columbia, Sciences Po, LSE, Stockholm School of Economics and others.
Position Overview:
This role is designed for exceptional final-year students or recent Master’s graduates with an outstanding academic record and a genuine passion for research.
Ideal Candidate:
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
- Is completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or has recently graduated from a top institution
- Has evidence of outstanding academic achievements and a strong quantitative or qualitative background (research work samples are a plus)
- Has a clear ambition to pursue a Ph.D. in the future
- Demonstrates proficiency in research tools and packages (R, Python, Matlab, Stata, SPSS, etc.)
- Excels in detail-oriented research tasks and data analysis
- Can work independently, manage timelines, and meet faculty expectations
- Possesses previous research experience and knowledge of econometrics (strong pluses)
- Is fluent in both written and spoken English
Responsibilities:
As a Pre-Doctoral Researcher your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with quantitative and/or qualitative research projects across academic areas
- Brainstorming potential research questions
- Conducting academic literature searches and reviews
- Managing and analyzing data using software packages like R, Python, Matlab, Stata, SPSS, etc.
- Performing statistical data analysis, interpreting findings, and contributing to write-ups
- Designing and conducting experiments
