Job Description:
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating appointments and ensuring efficient patient scheduling within the office. This role serves as the central liaison among staff, physicians, and patients, providing clerical and administrative support.Provides exceptional customer service to the patient. Schedules appointments, maintains supplies, and updates patient records with new information. Process documents received by electronic fax, documents received by mail or documents received from paper records. Manage electronic fax lines for multiple physicians. Determine documents that require signatures and documents that need physician, nurse, or office staff immediate attention. This position will cross-train to cover other areas to include, referrals, and new patient applications. responsible for accurate patient registration, appointment scheduling, communication with patients and staff, and the coordination of front desk operations in accordance with organizational protocols and HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all procedure appointments, ensuring efficient patient scheduling. Act as the central liaison among staff, physicians, and patients.
- Cross-train to cover other departmental areas, including , referrals, and new patient applications.
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency, both in person and over the phone.
- Accurately register patients, collect insurance and demographic information, and schedule appointments.
- Monitor call queues and patient wait times to ensure timely service.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Assist with portal registration, and medical record requests.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns with empathy and attention to detail.
- Utilize Google Drive and Office Ally systems and contribute to resolving workflow challenges.
- Support clinic operations through collaborative communication.
Requirements:
