Our research and development division is currently recruiting for a summer intern within Global Scientific Value Content. The Global Scientific Value Content organization is committed to ensure creation of global, innovative medical content to advance scientific exchange with “One Medical Voice”. The goal of the internship is to work with leaders within the Global Scientific Value Content organization to provide hands-on experience in the development and communication of scientific content in collaboration with key stakeholders. Candidates will be exposed to a variety of tactics to communicate the clinical and medical value that our products bring to the patients and medical community.
Candidates will also be introduced to strategic planning and insight analysis. This experience can motivate students to pursue careers in pharmaceutical industry.
With guidance from the preceptor, a successful candidate will gain experience collaborating with key stakeholders such as Global Medical Affairs experts, Observational and Real-World Evidence researchers, and Medical Science Liaisons. Candidate will gain experience in analyzing clinical trial data and reviewing scientific literature. Candidate will enhance their analytical and writing skills.
Responsibilities and Primary Activities:
Global Scientific Value Content Development
With guidance from the preceptor, candidate will author content that aligns to Annual Value and Implementation (V & I) Plan
With guidance from the preceptor, candidate will review Global Scientific Value Content materials to ensure they are relevant, scientifically accurate, and consistent with cited appropriate scientific literature, internal scientific information, and Company values and standards
Candidate will ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged in the development, review, and approval of Global Scientific Value Content materials
Candidate will communicate to key stakeholders (e.g., Medical Information) Global Scientific Value Content-approved content
Cross-Functional Collaboration
With guidance from preceptor, candidate will connect with key stakeholders (e.g., Global Medical Information, Global Scientific Training, Scientific Affairs, Publications, Medical Science Liaisons, Compliance, Clinical, Center of Observational and Real-World Evidence Value Evidence Sub Team (CORE-VEST)) to learn more about the cross-functional collaboration between functional areas in the pharmaceutical industry
Training and Professional Development
Under guidance of preceptor, candidate will complete myLearnings and self-training materials for personal development
Education:
Required: Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the sciences or a related field.
Candidates must be returning to school in the Fall of 2025.
Required Experience:
Candidates must be available to work full-time, on site, for 9-12 weeks beginning in June 2025.
Candidates must have experience conducting literature searches and using published literature in support of scientific content development.
Candidates must have a basic understanding of biomedical sciences, including the ability to categorize scientific literature according to therapeutic areas and topics.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Candidates must have outstanding ability to organize information, multi-task, and manage one’s own time.
Candidates must have some experience creating presentations.
Knowledge of Microsoft office, specifically Word, Excel and/or PowerPoint are required.
Preferred Experience:
Candidate considering an advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD).
This position would best suit someone with a background and/or interest in microbiology, virology, immunology, cardiovascular, oncology, epidemiology, health economics, or public health.
Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry.
Strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a complex organization/environment.
Ability to effectively operate in a team-oriented structure.

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$39,600.00-$105,500.00
