As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling PPL’s services in order to start and grow your own book of business. We offer a base salary + unlimited commission on a sliding pay scale. There is no ceiling to the amount of money you can make. The amount of effort you put in is solely responsible for how much money you take home.

Daily job functions of a Sales Account Manager:
- Cold calling new customers in effort to develop lead lists
- Growing and maintaining your book of business through good customer service and constant communication
- Following up with existing leads in effort to secure new business
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with current customers
- Quoting customers competitive prices based on current market trends
- Working with carriers to secure equipment for your loads
- Tracking loads and communicating updates to customers
- Collaborating with co-workers in a team-oriented environment
- Adaptable with the capability to pivot your focus at a moment’s notice
- Uncover the needs of your customers through active listening and problem solving
- Negotiating with both customers and carriers for fair freight moving rates
What we look for in a Sales Account Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A self-starter mentality
- Efficient time management skills with the ability to allot the proper amount of time to each task
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow up with customers and carriers in a timely manner
- Proficient in negotiations with both customers and carriers
- Problem solving skills with the ability to step back from a problem and look at different angles to find a solution
- Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Team player with the ability to multitask
- The ability to keep calm under pressure and tight deadlines
- MS office proficiency and the ability to type at least 50 WPM
