Position Description:

Under the direction of the Cellar Supervisor, student will be responsible for preparing and serving various items including pizza, ice cream and smoothies. Responsible for dishes, proper equipment use, stocking products in the kitchen and in customer service areas. Student will work in a team environment and help support business needs on shifts. Assist in maintaining proper sanitary conditions throughout the department, including reach-in and walk-in refrigerators, with proper labeling and rotating of all food products. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (candidates must possess these requirements in order to be hired into this position):

Must have or be willing to obtain a Pierce County Food Handler’s Permit prior to start date. Neat, clean appearance, well organized work habits and the practice of a courteous attitude toward fellow co-workers as well as the customer. Must be able to follow instructions and the policies and procedures of proper storage and handling of related food items. Must be able to work in a restricted area in view of the public with temperature extremes while standing or walking for extended periods of time. Able to lift and transport supplies. A commitment to possess or develop excellent customer relations skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers. Able to work effectively and closely with both student and regular staff. Able to monitor proper temperatures of food products. Ability and willingness to perform routine cleaning of service areas and equipment to maintain a sanitary and safe work environment. Basic math and writing skills

Hours per week: 12 hours
